Personality:Rachel is spunky and creative. She is quite interested in artwork, and her clothing is often splattered with paint. She also enjoys helping the environment. Rachel always felt a little different from other humans; she knows now that this is because she can see through the mist. She has visions of the future that disturbed her for a while, but as the new Oracle of Delphi, she feels that she is living up to her own expectations at last.
Appearance: Rachel is a small, skinny girl. She has short, curly red hair. A few freckles dot her face, and she has small light-blue eyes. Her clothes are often splattered with paint, and she has an odd habit of drawing on her jeans.
Weaknesses: She is mortal, so she's more vulnerable to monsters than her demigod friends.
Strengths: She can sometimes see the future, and she doesn't often feel insulted.


Biography:
Parents: Mr. Dare is the owner of an urbanization company, and Mrs. Dare is a stay-at-home mom who likes to paint her fingernails and read magazines.
History: Rachel was raised in luxury, but she never quite seemed to fit in among the lavish, overpriced accessories. To her parents' displeasure, she quickly took interest in art. She had always been able to see through the Mist, but at first, she didn't realize what she was seeing. By the time she met up with Percy at Hoover Dam, she had mostly figured it out; she wasn't certain it was greek mythology, but she knew she was seeing things that others did not. She next saw Percy at Freshman Orientation for Goode High School, where the two of them were attacked by empousai. She helped Percy, Annabeth, Tyson, and Grover navigate the Labyrinth; as a clear-sighted mortal, she was able to distinguish the paths that they were meant to take. The following year, she began having visions and dreams. She drew a picture of Luke as a child, and another of Olympus being attacked. She even wrote the crucial line "Percy, you are not the hero."

Rachel sat curled up on her bed on the top floor of her parents' house. She gazed around the room, taking in all the paintings she had made over the years. Everyone said they were beautiful, and that she was a gifted artist (except her father, who called her love of art 'silly'), but she didn't know. She just drew what was in her brain, as though her hands were simply another outlet for her to express what was inside. Standing up slowly, Rachel walked across the room to one of the huge windows. The vast expanse of plexiglass spanned from the ceiling to the floor; it gave a great view of the street below. Looking into the distance, vaguely wondered what her demigod friends were up to right now.
